Terms of Service

Welcome to RocketNote. By downloading, installing, or using the RocketNote mobile application ("App") or related web services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and RocketNote regarding your use of the App and related services. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email updates.

2. Description of Service

RocketNote is a note-taking and study application providing offline-first Markdown notes, AI-powered multimodal problem solving, voice recording, interactive flashcards, vertical quizzes, and cloud synchronization. Features may vary depending on your subscription tier and device capabilities.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
  • One person may not maintain more than one active account
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your registered account

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Free & Premium Plans

RocketNote offers both free and paid subscription tiers ("RocketNote Pro"). Premium features include expanded AI Solves, study tools, and unlimited cloud backup. Pricing details are clearly displayed inside the App prior to purchase.

Payment Processing & Management

Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and validated via RevenueCat. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the billing policies of the respective app store.

Billing & Automatic Renewal

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle.
  • Your Apple ID or Google Play account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of the selected plan.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via your device's Apple ID Account Settings or Google Play Subscription Manager.
  • No partial refunds or credits are issued for unused billing periods, except where strictly required by applicable local law.

Free Trials

If a free trial is offered, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before trial expiration.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable regulations
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App source code
  • Use automated scripts or bots to spam AI features or disrupt cloud services
  • Upload content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to underlying Supabase servers or other users' accounts
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to RocketNote features

6. Intellectual Property

Our Content

The App, including code, design systems, visual assets, logos, and features, is owned by RocketNote and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary content without permission.

Your Content

You retain full ownership of the notes, flashcards, recordings, and media you create in RocketNote. By enabling cloud sync, you grant us a limited license to securely store and transmit your content solely to fulfill the service.

7. AI Features Disclaimer

AI-powered tools (including Solves and study assistance powered by the Google Gemini API) are provided for educational and organizational purposes. AI outputs may occasionally contain inaccuracies and should be independently verified for academic or professional use.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RocketNote shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data or local files. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the service in the twelve months preceding any claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms. You may permanently delete your account at any time via Settings > Account > Delete Account.
